Having seen what a corset does to my figure, I know it takes a lot of squinching to make me curvy all the way up and down. I mean, from back to front I'm okay, but from side to side there's not much variation.
For some reason I imagine corsets more comfortable than girdles. I'm not sure why.
I need a good source for 16x16 silk pillow covers. Preferably asian/indian pattern. Jewel tones. Reputable source. Having no googlefu.
Finished my main swim, got to the fifth cooldown finished and thunder-cleared the pool. Talk about timing.
Have you tried ebay, sarameg? It's where I got my Indian silk scarves I hang on my walls.
re: girdles--is there much of a difference between girdles and Spanx? I looked at the Spanx website and was heavily reminded of the undergarments of my youth. Boy, I was dreading the possibility of incorporating those into my wardrobe. But then, yay, they went the way of the slide rule.
I should, but ebay is like a flea market to me. I get overwhelmed.

My mother refers to Spanx-type things as panty girdles.
ebay is CRACK. I love it. It's where my vintage shit comes from too, the slips and the shirt dresses and the scooter dresses--search terms and search alerts is where it's at.
I really need to dig out that video of Jon Hamm playing Lysander from our college days.
I honestly, straight up, want a chainmail bra.
They're pretty cool. I wouldn't turn one down if someone gave me one, but my budget for Impractical Clothes That Make My Boobs Look Great tends to run to corsets.
