I got the leather bustier, I got the suede bustier, I got a couple corsets, I got all sorts of club shit--and I don't club. It's pretty silly. I have to make a concerted effort to not be self-conscious about my breasts, so it's always a feat to wear any of the stuff out of the house. But I do like it so much.
However, I deem corsets officewear, but not everyone agrees with me.
Mad Men collection means make my boobs look like Christina Hendricks, right? That's what it's shorthand for? And give me a boyfriend that looks like Jon Hamm, but he can wear underwear if he likes?
If only!
ita !, I'm sure you could have more of a vintage figure with vintage undergarments.
And for the record, I can't believe I still typed ita !.
There's a Mad Men collection? Did I want to be tempted?
It's cute stuff. Not in my size, so safe for me to covet.
For the record, I feel like ita ! It's very refreshing.
I have lazy vintage undergarments. I lounge around in vintage slips a lot, but you don't see me sporting a girdle.
I mean a girdle+bullet bra situation.
Having seen what a corset does to my figure, I know it takes a lot of squinching to make me curvy all the way up and down. I mean, from back to front I'm okay, but from side to side there's not much variation.
For some reason I imagine corsets more comfortable than girdles. I'm not sure why.
I need a good source for 16x16 silk pillow covers. Preferably asian/indian pattern. Jewel tones. Reputable source. Having no googlefu.
Finished my main swim, got to the fifth cooldown finished and thunder-cleared the pool. Talk about timing.
Have you tried ebay, sarameg? It's where I got my Indian silk scarves I hang on my walls.
re: girdles--is there much of a difference between girdles and Spanx? I looked at the Spanx website and was heavily reminded of the undergarments of my youth. Boy, I was dreading the possibility of incorporating those into my wardrobe. But then, yay, they went the way of the slide rule.
