It's like, in the middle of all this, I'm paranoid that you'll think I don't like poetry.

Is there a movie theater nearby that you could enjoy a double feature at?

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Are these people all grownups? (I mean, I know the answer is actually no, but chronologically?)

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

At the time, he was fairly convinced the guy was guilty.

There's no evidence that he did it, with the exception of a forced/retracted confession from another kid with a 70 IQ.

But man, that plea situation seems like a fairly shitty deal, being out of prison notwithstanding.

Eh, they're all between 20 and 23. So sort of?

Because books.

Wow, I had forgotten all about that story. It's weird to read about it now -- satanic rituals really were the Big Bad there for a while, weren't they?

Yeah, it only took three documentaries, the involvement of some of the world's most famous musicians, millions of dollars raised, multiple witness recantations, pressure from the families of the victims, exclusion by DNA plus no evidence, and 18 years to get three clearly innocent kids released from jail.

Because books.

It is sobering to read that one of the victim's families is convinced they're innocent, too.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

Why is my thumb suddenly swollen? I haven't jammed it or strained it in the last ten minutes, but the base of the joint is rapidly swelling and becoming tender. The fuck? It's the same side as the IV, but the IV was in the forearm.

Yikes, ita. This sounds like what I've been battling for the last couple of weeks (started at the base of the forefinger, spread to the base of the thumb, currently now in the base of the pinkie). It feels like the problems I have intermittantly with my feet, which is arthritis, so I hope it's not the same thing for you.

ION, OMG we just got hailpocalypse in Boston! I've never seen weather like that up close and personal (and got back to the office from an errand with only about ten minutes to spare before it hit).
