I'll just jump in my time machine, go back to the twelfth century, and ask the vampires to postpone their ancient prophesy for a few days while you take in dinner and a show.

and the secondary infections have been awful and debilitating.

Whoo, yeah. And again, I have to say my doctor is awesome, and knows her stuff about Lyme. I just have the misfortune of having brain chemistry that says oh hai, emotional side-effects? Sure!

MORE KITTENS. I think you should just indulge in kittens from here on out. And indulge me.

Vlad (the black boykitty) likes to headbutt people. A lot. And shove his tiny nose into yours. Pete has repeatedly had a kitten nose shoved up his nostrils, which is hilarious.

Because books.

Also, I'm not 43. I've been thinking I was 43 for...weeks now. I'm not sure what's up with that.

So are you older or younger?

I will admit, as I get older I forget, too. I've asked S. in the past how old he is, because then I know I'm two years younger.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Anne, even as a fire enthusiast, I have to say DON'T CATCH ON FIRE.

Exactly.

E's mom could have avoided partial blindness had they diagnosed her sooner. It's ridiculous.

MK, before he got frail, was a headbutter. It is annoying at times, but endearing. Loki and Devi both are face and mouth sniffers still. I'm SO not planning on kittens, but getting to know their quirks is so much fun. Cat in the nose!

That's Switch, too. He comes at you HARD, and repeatedly.

Cortez, on the other hand, will either come sit politely in front of you and stare, walk just close enough to your leg to let the very tips of his fur touch you, or climb up and lick your hair.

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

Semi-hysterical crying for no reason for 5 days in a row? No thanks, stopping that now.

Gah. That is no fun at all. Have the side-effects subsided any, or will that take a while?

Tzepesh was a headbutter, and was one of the things we were looking for in a kitty. The first time Pete held Vlad at the shelter, Vlad headbutted him in the chin.

Vlad is also an attention whore, and if his sister is getting petted, has to come over to get attention, too. Since Ruthven does much the same thing, having the two of them together is going to be amusing.

We don't get to introduce the kittens into the rest of the household for a few more weeks - they've got a tummy bug, and we've got to get that cleared up before they can come out of quarantine.

I got bruises on my ribs from MK's plowing head butts. These days, I accidentally knock him over by petting him. Sigh. Which reminds me, make appt for next week. Or week after. Time to check to see if the insulin is sufficient.

Thrive to spite them

How are people?

Job hunting. Which sucks. But I have an awesome resume and cover letter thanks to Erin and her Wordslinger skills.

Tomorrow I go to the animal shelter to clean cages and play with the kitties. They have some really awesome cats there and I wish I could take 1 or 2 or 3 home. Seriously cute cats and kittens.

Well, we just made the decision to have me stop that abx today, so no, those side-effects haven't subsided yet. I'm hoping they do really goddamn soon. I've got stuff to do, I don't have time to be having hysterics and sobbing. (Yes, I told that to my therapist today. She shook her head at me.)
