Spike: You pissed in the Big Man's Chair? That's fantastic! Gunn: Spike, can you please turn off that warm fuzzy? Spike: What, the Lorne thing? Worn off. I just think that's bloody fabulous.

call me jacki; zuisa is an internet nick from ancient times =)

You know they're starting "The Lying Game" by the same author tonight, right? I haven't read Pretty Little Liars, but I have read Lying Game. Though sounds like the premise of the show is slightly tweaked from the book.

I've seen the commercials, but I'm going to try not to watch it, if only because it's embarrassing enough that I watch "Pretty Little Liars". I haven't read either series, but from what I've head, "Pretty Little Liars" deviates pretty far from the source material as well.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

Amy, you should try and sell them on the fact that you have a built in internet audience based on your time in the Buffy fandom. Or not?

and it could be a good show (it's a post-apocalyptic thing -- sort of The Stand meets Survivor with teens)

If it's anything like the the pretty-horrible-but-I-couldn't-pull-myself-away New Zealand show The Tribe, I will be watching! Best of luck with it!

I also know nothing about the publishing industry, but it seems sadly common how often people don't get to finish writing the series they started. It's happening right now to the woman who writes "The Vampire Diaries" series.

Because books.

That's not really true. She sold that as a packaged series, as well, in which case you usually work as a writer-for-hire, book by book. In my case, it's different because the packager and I owned the idea and brought it *to* the publisher, but sometimes a publisher brings an idea to a packager to develop.

She's writing another series now, I believe, and last I heard, she wasn't too worked up about The Vampire Diaries thing.

I knew she wasn't too worked up about it, but it still also seems sad.

But, like I said, I know exactly nothing about the publishing industry, so thanks for letting me know!

Our wings are not tired.

I still think someone needs to make a series or movie based on The Grounding of Group Six.

The status is NOT quo.

Woo hoo, Amy!

In other news, tomorrow is the last official day of my vacation. I should probably redouble my efforts to finish reading the books I need to read and planning the new course I’m teaching. (The kids don’t start until the 29th, so I have some time. But still.)

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

Amy,

goodness please do announce if it is produced. I will totally watch and I never watch ABC Family.

Because books.

The chick from the book packager (whom I loathe, but at least did the deal) seems to think there's a good chance they will produce it, so we'll see. I'll certainly say if it does!
