Greys are not fluent in stairs. It took Daisy weeks to figure out how to go down them.
I'm actually happy if she follows me up and down them.
(Of course, the only real command she knows and responds to all the time is "Your bed." to indicate that, no, she can't go up on our bed right then. Really, if I can get her to master "off" to mean "no countersurfing, dumbass", I figure we're set.)
Darb's most reliable command is "hold it" which basically stops her in her tracks. Between that and leave it we can muddle through most situations.
Ooh, we need to teach "hold it." That would be a handy command.
So I feel the need to share: We shop at the Columbia outlet near my parents' house and I have this favorite pair of shorts that I keep buying. So this summer I packed a couple of the identical shorts. And all summer I kept thinking, man my weight is really fluctuating. I dunno if it's bloating or what.
Turns out the shorts are different sizes and I've been freaking out all summer for nothing! I just noticed today!

At 4:30 this morning I dropped CJ off for a search (very slim chance of rescue). The person they are looking for has been missing since July 25th. Haven't heard a peep from him, so I assume they are still out there looking. The missing hiker is a teacher at a school for the gifted.
PC - BART shut down cell service and internet access the other day to prevent demonstrations. So this is the "retaliation".
Oh, I knew all four dogs would be there. I'd just never had all 4 at once. They do join to make an unruly herd, but a large part of it was me, I'm sure. E was telling me, oh Amy goes left, Basil right, Angus under Amy and well, Pip...and that was NOT what they did with me. I think it was the joy of a new but known person.
More crazy storms. More leaking. Swam. Went out and managed to get my favorite crocs ( [link] ) for $20. Then used my Bloodbath coupons and gc to get a sodastream. Gonna give it a try. Can always sell it if it doesn't work for me.
