PC - BART shut down cell service and internet access the other day to prevent demonstrations. So this is the "retaliation".

Oh, I knew all four dogs would be there. I'd just never had all 4 at once. They do join to make an unruly herd, but a large part of it was me, I'm sure. E was telling me, oh Amy goes left, Basil right, Angus under Amy and well, Pip...and that was NOT what they did with me. I think it was the joy of a new but known person.
More crazy storms. More leaking. Swam. Went out and managed to get my favorite crocs ( [link] ) for $20. Then used my Bloodbath coupons and gc to get a sodastream. Gonna give it a try. Can always sell it if it doesn't work for me.
I'm sitting on the deck reading a book and petting the dog, and with the sun on her black fur she is literally to hot to comfortably touch. Freaky. For the record, there is plenty of shade for her to stand in if she so chose. She does not.
I need to report that I think it is a complete failure of imagination that even though I have a Real Life Leak, I still have nightmares about leaks. Really? Overkill. Basically, my dreams resemble this art installation: [link] I kinda hate that installation for being real.
And apparently massive thunder while I'm asleep translates to bombs exploding and mountain avalanches in dreams in which I'm in Afghanistan, Nepal or Bhutan. Which is oddly entertaining to me rather than frightening (the dreams, at least.)
It has become obvious to me that it will be a long long time before I have enough money to pay someone to do the repair work my house needs. between the peeling tub in mac's bathroom and the termite damage in two rooms, there is several thousands to spend, so I am starting some of the work myself, I am removing the baseboards and molding on the termite walls. I may also take down the sheetrock if I can tell that the studs are damaged. I won't do anything to the studs, but it should save several hours of labor costs and I can get it fairly well cleaned up myself.
In short..WOOHOO DEMO!
WOOHOO DEMO!

I'm a little afraid to think of you with a sledgehammer, but go msbelle with the demo.

I was surprised -- in the torrential rain on Tuesday we had the leaking through the kitchen light switch again, but today, even though it rained fairly hard, it was steady rather than sudden and overwhelming, and no leaks.
I just want the landlord to finally come look at where the addition roof must be leaking, because while it's their house, and any mold or damage is their problem, water gushing out of my light switch (and turning the light off after flickering) does *not* make me happy.
no sledgehammer. Doing my own demo in the house I still have to live in means demo via x-acto knife, putty knife, screwdrivers, and a chisel. I have 2 pieces of molding off and one side of the archway frame almost off.
HEY PERKINS! ARE YOU CLEANING YOUR PLACE!!?????? YOU BETTER BE CLEANING YOUR F'IN PLACE!!!1!
Probably better. I think I want to use a sledgehammer at least once. Gimme a wall to take down, someone.
