My cousin's going to be furloughed. She apparently found out today.

I just got an email from my employer, basically saying we're out of work if the shutdown happens. No surprise there.

Between the government shutdown and all the acquisitions lately. A lot of people are going to be out of work. Just when the economy was starting to pick up.
I wonder if that was part of the plan?
Oh, guys, this is such rough news. I'm sorry it's all been so harrowing.
I'm good if there's a shutdown, but our invoices won't be paid in a timely fashion. Receivables will be a mess, and I'll get yelled at because I won't meet my monthly metrics, but that's nothing in comparison to what friends and work colleagues will be going through.
I'm sorry for anyone who's going to be furloughed.
