not Suzi, but I roasted mine in the over last night. I put them in a pan with about 1/4 inch of water. The recipe said to leave the tops on about inch. I didn't but I wish I had because they would have been much easier to peel. Anyway, they sort of tasted like a beet version of baked potatoes. They were really good!

The csa just delivered more tomatillos...yay...but there is also an eggplant in there. Blergh. I can't think of a thing I can do with it that would make it palatable to me.
There is also okra. Um. No. That'll be going to friends, for sure.
Last weekend, my mother did some shit with beets that was delicious and (surprising to me!) included sesame oil.
Whoo, smonster! Awesomecakes.
Hurrah, smonster!
You think you're typing: server count What you actually type: severe cunt
Ha!!
Thanks, y'all. I am so thrilled.
For now the beets are just boiled. Will likely use them in a salad tomorrow.
Timelies all!
Yay smonster!
After dinner I need to do laundry, then Pack All The Things.
Yay smonster!
I really want beets now. I think I will try and farmer's market it tomorrow.
Yikes ita !
Congrats smonster!
No one but the DH likes beets. I've never had much success with them, I should try again but roast them.
I'm trying to figure out what to serve with Chili Colorado. I swiped the recipe from my bro, he didn't serve anything with it when he fixed it for us, just threw out some tortillas but I dunno if that will fly at home. Hummm... ideas?
