Yikes ita !
Congrats smonster!
No one but the DH likes beets. I've never had much success with them, I should try again but roast them.
I'm trying to figure out what to serve with Chili Colorado. I swiped the recipe from my bro, he didn't serve anything with it when he fixed it for us, just threw out some tortillas but I dunno if that will fly at home. Hummm... ideas?
Yeah, corn bread or over rice.
Duh, I'm so dense, I didn't even think of that. Thanks Todd - it's on the list. Maybe a green salad and we're done.
Or, if you want to pretend you're in Cincinnati, you could serve it over spaghetti ....

I do occasionally have "real" chili (read: what the rest of the world generally thinks of as chili) over spaghetti, and it's actually good. But you might have to be born to it.
Dang. I have a spinach-pesto lasagna in the crockpot, but now I want chili.
Now I want spinach-pesto lasagna!
Hey, Teppy, you should fly over here tonight. We're having a Dinosaur Comics Reading Party at my place.
We're just back from the meet-and-greet with Matilda's Kindergarten teacher so we're full of Newman-Os and milk.
Matilda was bummed that her best friend Sena wasn't in her class, but we got a happy surprise that her friend Alizon will be. Yay! Alizon is a sweetie.
And Ms. Cathy, the teacher, seems very nice.
We stopped by to say goodbye to our two most beloved pre-school teachers, Helen and Vicki, who both lost their jobs due to the budget cuts. Stupid pink slips.
