Natter 68: Bork Bork Bork
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
I very nearly bought this the other day [link] (Jilli font) as the new dog bed.
(Actually, I still might. The one at the store was inflatable. If it's just a cover, I could put foam or something inside and make it work.)
What's the thingy in that country that swarms along the ground and leaves behind no living thing?
Teenage boys.
Alright, David, now can you find that thing I left somewhere?
I can't. Army ants got it.
Check. Stand on table when approached by ants or highschool boys. Got it.
Can't
fuckers
The daffodils and forsythia are the first things blooming here, and all the bright yellows are making me happy. There's an intersection I drive through almost every day that's planted with thousands of daffodils on all four sides, and driving through it makes me smile. I can't wait for the tulips to come up-- there's a hotel in Woodley Park near my old job that's a riot of color every April and May.
Nothing is blooming here because we got 8 fresh inches of snow! WTF?
We had snow today, and thunder hail yesterday.
Purple crocuses are my sure sign. In my old commute, there was a triangle of 'em. Now, I go by my hood. We have crocii!
I'm zone 6 and the snowdrops started two weeks ago, the Witchhazels have been blooming for a month or so, Winter Aconite, crocus, and just this week Glory of the Snow. There's a very cool Japanese tulip that has buds getting ready to pop in a week or two. Oh, and the Apricot and the Winter Jasmine and Winter Honeysuckle (which smells divine).
