I am irritated that some people on twitter are comparing Winehouse to Joplin and Hendrix.

Um, no. I liked a couple of her songs, but I doubt she is going to have the effect on music that Hendrix and Joplin did - despite the fact they all died around the same age.

I think my brain is just not processing Norway. My therapist is pretty sure I am going through a round of PTSD again and with September around the corner, I really shouldn't be surprised. why must people suck.

He was one of several people who took boats over to the island to pick up people hiding on the shore.

"I realized that me sitting there in the boat with my red helmet and yellow jacket would be a perfect target," he recalled. "I thought, well, we are here and we have some things to do and I am happy that we managed to get so many of the youngsters."

I just had to promise myself a sushi lunch to get myself out of my inside pants and out of the apartment, which is sad, but at least now I have my prescriptions and am about to have sushi.

The guy at Best Buy told me about Amy Winehouse, which was really random. He was there to sell me hardware.

One my few friends I have made down here, the parent of one of mac's friends, just came over - her husband has asked for a divorce. So much going on for her and very sad, but they did not have a good marriage and it is probably best for her. We chatted for a few hours and I hope it helped her.
