I had a pasta making class recently where they were making some of the same suggestions TB has above for making pesto or similar stuff. Also, they pointed out that if you're not sure what you have, the Italian ones tend to be more elongated while the Chinese are rounder.

Interesting to see how we appear to others.

I got notifications in the last two days that TiVo and ABE Books (or a third party company that works with ABE.) were hacked. I haven't bought anything via ABE in this century. Blargh.

Have you gotten more spam, Sue? I've gotten tons more recently. Fuckers. I went on a date once with a guy who announced he wrote spam software. How was it supposed to go any further? He's obviously the devil incarnate.
