Hec, I honestly think that's what would keep me from being a good driver. Also, my sense of *space* is completely fucked...it would feel like I was getting in an accident all day, every day. I think this is too bad.(Not that we could afford the hand controls anyway.)

Yeah, I posted so long I didn't see that.
Yeah, took the leap last year. Oddly, it doesn't feel very different...
Except now you get jury summons! Uh, welcome fellow citizen, go play with the stupids of our country? (To be fair, maybe not ALL trials are as dumb as the once I sat, but OMG. SO DUMB. And bad, bad movies in the waiting room.)
How to understand what's going on around him, in front of him, behind him, and far ahead of him.
I'm still not a great driver, but I really learned a lot from the Smith System [link] classes I took at work. One thing they emphasize is constantly doing a circuit with your eyes from rear view mirror to right mirror to back window to left mirror to forward. They would argue that you should know if someone is right behind you, and if they are, you drive through the yellow light.
God, I hate paper so much, it makes me do some really stupid things, evidently.
I've got the love/hate. When I don't keep an iron grip on bad stuff happens. And when I can't find that critical piece of paper, I totally panic.
Wait, ita, are you a citizen? I didn't know that

Hey, congrats.
I love hearing Craig Ferguson talking about his citizenship.

Eh. Again, Chicago is different. But I'd rather be rear-ended than broadsided.

That shit's awesome right there!

I'm a bit envious of folks who have had good jury duty experiences. But sara's experience is my experience...every. single. time.
I did enjoy the guy who leaned over to me and said, "Hey, I believe in the violent overthrow of the government. Think that will get me off?"
Not sure if he actually said that, but he was dismissed at lightening speed and someone did follow him out of the courtroom.
ita, did you call 1-800-srv-jury? Oddly enough, mine is Monday too. But in the Valley.
That shit's awesome right there!
Totally.
I don't even know how y'all do that? I'm still fumbling with which keys to strike and some amazing archival something is already posted. Cheers, Nicole!
I did call, bon, but everything requires my JID and PIN.
Thanks, Nicole. Why didn't I put down that I was throwing away important papers, and maybe someone could have saved me from my own stupidity?
Let me look one more time. I'm not optimistic.
