Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

When I think of songs about domestic violence I always think of Luka first. Weird not to see it there.

Yeah, I guess they are all about intimate partner violence, not child abuse? In that case, I want to see Johnny Cash doing "Delia's Gone."

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

And no 10,000 Maniacs' "What's the Matter Here."

But I do love a lot of the songs in that list.

Oh. That explains it.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

Wow Scola! Gotta love spin.

Because books.

Christian Kane has one, "Mary (Can You Come Outside)," but I can see that not being on the radar.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

And no "Janie's Got a Gun," either.

That's another one I'm familiar with, although it didn't come to mind. Many of the ones they list, I didn't know.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

Following the Palin blueprint, Bachmann plans on fully leveraging the negative publicity with her base:

Yeah, that Taibbi piece was not only a hit piece, but he knew she would do that: he even acknowledged it in the article. Seems kind of dumb to be so OTT with it, when he knew how they would react.

I splurged at the farmer's market: not just tacos (carnitas, NOM), but also a thing of cherries, and some chard, and then I found a guy making really cool jewelry and I bought myself a new necklace. Woops.

I would love to screw around on the internets unfortunately I just told somebody I would prepare a report for them that my coworker didn't do, and it has to be done by tomorrow. Woops again.

My mango smoothie tastes primarily of raspberries. I am sadface. I ordered it because it said Mango Madness!

Also, please, people, don't talk to me about my food choices. I don't let my mother do it. You're not my nutritionist.

And no Billie Holiday's "Ain’t Nobody’s Business If I Do"....
