I swear I already posted this, but I guess not? I found what you were trying to link to in the Zillow link, and I like that one better, maybe, but if you want a more open kitchen and are going to redo it anyway, I guess the first one. I think mostly I liked the existing cabinets in the second one better.

Or Tom's one.
The one Tom posted is gorgeous. I wish there were more pictures.
I did love the sun room in the first house, Jess, but the kitchen does need work.
I want the house Tom linked to! Now that my DH works in NY, it's an investment, right?
And, I have to say, tax-wise, having my DH in NY in what we can call a "temporary" position, is going to be AWESOME. I may make him work temporary in Manhattan permanently.
Also, Westchester County is the only place I know that makes my property taxes look tame.
The Executive Coloring Book. Circa 1961, too!
Amy- that is so funny!
"Color them all gray." LOVE.
That is awesome.
I think you should buy this house.
I think I'm going to be the heretic who says the exterior of that house is really unattractive. As appealing as it would be to have a chauffeur's room and a wine cellar.

True, but it's still cheaper (or on par) with paying, basically, 2 mortgages, which is what I have now with the coop. (Mortgage on my own apt & maintenance fee which includes property taxes and underlying mortgage on the building.)
[eta: Also, high property taxes are one reason the schools up there are so good. So there's that.]
Also: Happy birthday, Steph!!
