You got fired, and you still hang around here like a big loser. Why can't he?

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Heh. Saw a vanity plate reading SKYWKR on my way home....

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Creative Hairstyles from NAHA 2011

The 2011 North American Hairstyling Awards were recently announced, and this year the nominees are bigger and poofier than ever. Another year brings another crop of robot girls, aliens, future flappers, mod androgynes, and obligatory hair-basket motifs.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

I discovered that I could get pink vanity plates NICEST. But they are a minimum of $50/year and you have to pay for 10 years to get that price.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

That would only be more awesome if you had a pink car!

I am posting in here rather than tech because I think perhaps Cashmere or other parents might be able to answer--

Are there any parental controls on Netflix. My BFF would like her daughter to be able to log on and find her own movies, but doesn't want her a) seeing everything they watch or b) being able to find inappropriate movies. I think she would be willing to get a separate account.

ETA: Daughter is ten

Our wings are not tired.

Sophia, I just checked my Netflix account and it looks like they can turn the parental control off and on (but not by device, it looks like. So, if turned to G, that's all anyone could watch instantly on that account...). Hope that helps!

Thanks! I will let her know- she hasn't been able to find it, but perhaps if she knows it is there, she will be more persistant!

Verizon has a flaky router out there. I hate spotty internet.

OK, slowly getting marginally better.

So I tried to take Loki out for a walk. But the kids freaked him out. God love'em but these kids...well. There are about 5 of them, aged 8 to 2 in that house. And completely wild. Their mother doesn't do much in the way of supervision, so they run wild up and down the block, on other porches, etc. They don't want to be a menace (they were really good when I told them they needed to all sit on the sidewalk if they wanted to meet the Lokes) but just so so in need of boundaries other than their mother's haphazard screaming harpy routine. And when the neighbors give them boundaries, they positively preen and FOLLOW THEM. And their mom doesn't seem to give a shit that the neighborhood is doing all the good parenting.

I feel bad for them. They're the neighborhood Oh Dears. (The youngest? Was literally born on the front steps across from me, just before I moved in. E heard screaming from the eldest and went out to discover this transpiring and called an ambulance and distracted the poor boy, who was rightfully freaked the fuck out.)

Art Crawl!!!

Just turned on White Collar and found a tornado warning. . . although, I think the most dangerous part is east of me now. In the western 'burbs and heading for Chicago.
