Spike: You pissed in the Big Man's Chair? That's fantastic! Gunn: Spike, can you please turn off that warm fuzzy? Spike: What, the Lorne thing? Worn off. I just think that's bloody fabulous.

(I love my commute.)

My neighbor accidentally bought an extra one of these and gave it to me: [link] I planted it in a little pot, but given it can grow to 6' (it is 6" now,) I guess I'm eventually going to need a bigger pot. If I can keep it alive, it'll have to be a houseplant in the winter. I have a crap record keeping houseplants alive, between me and the cats. We'll see. I buy annuals for a reason. Though my mint returned with a vengeance, but that's outside...

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

30 minutes standard? My commute is a bit less than that (25 door to desk via transit, 15 if I drive) but most people I know, particularly if they don't live in the city, have a lot longer.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

My commute is usually about 20 minutes, but it can be a lot longer in bad traffic.

Now tagless for your comfort.

My commute is rolling out of bed.

I saw a Piggly Wiggly commercial where the chef stuffs crab in a black Angus burger, grills it, tops it with cheese and asparagus. I'm thinking of trying that with some Hollandaise or Bearnaise sauce for an Oscar burger.

You have to remember that being a 5-time Olympic medalist means Hilary Knight has been playing hockey at an elite level at least 16 years. It's impossible for her to be a teenage girl less than 16 years old, thus the President's complete lack of interest.

My commute's about 7-12 minutes depending on traffic. I pretty much moved into the closest apartments to my office that weren't run by slumlords.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

My commute is 20 minutes driving. I think I'd rather it to 40 minutes on public transport, but I'd prefer 20 minutes on public transport. It's not a stressful drive. I tend to work further out from the city centre than I live, and that's served me well most of my life.

I used to have a commute where the walk from the parking lot was longer than the drive. That was kind of annoying. Or a 25 minute walk, which I did sometimes. Or a five minute bus ride, but a ten minute wait. But I do like the freedom of having my car with me at work. Also, elements. Must be able to protect myself from them.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Kickass essay, ita.

Commutes I have had: 12 miles, 60 minutes (summer internship, but it was my dad's commute for almost twenty. years.); 30 minute on a bus or 12 (very stressful) minutes on a bike; 20 minutes on a bus or 35 minutes (very hilly) walk; 20 minutes in a car, with the occasional 45 minutes to the office. Now, I commute from my living room to my kitchen, but it's farther than you think. I should get a fitbit and track it.

Man, I discovered a cable outlet in my living room, so I tried to move my modem over there, but apparently that wire isn't connected (I suspect it was the original Cox wire, OMFG), and so I moved it back, and my router had forgotten its identity, so THAT was fun to redo, and then I decided to hook up my printer. In conclusion, this tech klutz totally earned the entire TJ's chocolate caramel bar with sea salt that she just ate. Also: my network is now named mockingjay.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

My shortest commute matches Cash, if I go into the office it is more like 15 minutes with free parking.

call me jacki; zuisa is an internet nick from ancient times =)

My commute is basically rolling out of bed too. Roll out of bed, usually fall off the ladder because tops bunks are scary when you are not a morning person, put on my uniform, and shuffle off to whatever part of the ship I'm working in first. It's nice to be able to wake up 20 minutes before work and be on time.
