I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

My next CSA delivery has several items that I am pretty sure I don't get, so they will substitute something. Mystery! Usually I can start planning out how I'm going to eat everything up ahead of time. I am eager to see what I get.

Also? My new purple sink is out on Brian's porch RIGHT NOW! It's got the original fixtures! We've got to get it to my house soon! SO EXCITED!

Punishingly Intricate

I basically did this with my peas and sugar snap peas last week:

Except no asparagus and regular whole wheat couscous.

It was delicious!

Not sure what I'm doing with the peas this week though.

I made a similar thing with rice for lunch today, though I used frozen peas. Still yum. In fact, I may make it again for dinner while I have the changes I want to make to the recipe in mind.

Purple sink!

Now tagless for your comfort.

Why did I agree to have a rummage sale next weekend??? I'm going to enjoy getting rid of stuff and getting money but I'm neck deep right now and rethinking the plausibility of this plan.

I also have an Oster blender that works well for margaritas.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

I am not getting housework done! Day fail!

Oh well.

I find that Helsing's Fire quite tempting. May need to buy it.

Oooooh. I randomly had a blender with a heating element years ago and loved it, and have been idly looking for another ever since I lost that one.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

I have to say that for smoothies (I make them with frozen fruit, not ice) and making sauces, I vastly prefer a stick blender. I am so much more likely to actually clean t up, and not leave it! I have a cuisinart one that has a little food processor attachment, and came with a smoothie cup. It also has a whisk, which I imagine would come in handy if you made a lot of meringues or whipped cream, but I pretty much am only whipping for scrambled egges, so I use a fork.

Because books.

So awesome, sara. And with the original handles and everything!

I think Sara might have broken her little toe, playing kickball barefoot. It's not too swollen but it is discolored now.
