Tonight has been neighboriffic. First I hear K & E talking out front, so I went to join them and ended up taking cat duty for next week or so and having a nice chat. Then I went out to take out some stray recycling and ran into B & A at the back door, and our porch floor repainting is ON. B's dad (who is a retired contractor who has done this many a time) is coming this weekend and doing a thorough walkthrough of Lowes for what we need, how much, pricing everything and will come back out with his contractor's deals when it comes time to spend the $$. It'll probably take a couple weeks to accomplish, from start to finish.
AND Brian's friend is delivering his new sink which mean NEW ORIGINAL LAVENDER SINK FOR ME!!!! FOR FREE!!! I'll probably store it in the basement until I can get it reglazed and then..maybe myself, maybe enlist help. If I meet B's dad this weekend, maybe I can con him into giving me some help. That's probably a bad thought, maybe.
C'mon, Boston! Do it for Matt the Bruin Fan! He's been your fan online for years!

Not a bad idea at all!!
I also love my neighborhood, btw. We went out (to celebrate another "all clear" visit at the oncologist's...they are all celebratory) to one of our fave neighborhood restaurants and got a round of drinks from the owners and the owner wife's cousin in Galway's phone number for when we are there. Nice! (Also the food is delicious!)
The Burlington Free Press has a huge article about Tim Thomas on the front page. "Timmy's Time". He's UVM alum and so everyone is really excited.
Awesome, lisah. I love Smalltimore. Name the restaurant, I'm trying to rec places for my summer neighbors (and since I don't eat out much, hard.)

More than just online, I drove and flew all over the country to see them play in the 90s and early 2000s. And cracked Ray Bourque up by wearing a bear outfit to a road game in Nashville. A few years later, the formerly mascot-less team had Blades. Coincidence?
Dogwood, sara! I have a lot of other recs if they want suggestions.
Goal! Now 4-0 with 3 minutes to go!
And the Bruins win the Stanley Cup! WAHOOOOO!
Email me, lisah. I'm forwarding them all sorts of festival and market and to-do info, but personalized restaurant experiences escape me, mostly. And I know they are interested in exploring good food, having been in a bit of a desert at their last station.
Good lord, Gary Bettman looks like a munchkin standing next to Zdeno Chara.
