Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I have an application I can't print from. It's making me feel very stupid. And when I choose "export to PDF" I get no actual PDFs. And it mutters something about converting to HTML.

Look, technology, I have a busy day and a short fuse. Don't be ridiculous. Roll over and give it up.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

So I did not realize that the N in NHL was actually Canada, although of course it should be.

Which would explain all the teams being named "Home".

And Montreal is explicitly saying "nous sommes (?) les Canadiens."

Well, Wikipedia tells me the first four NHL teams were Montreal Canadiens, Montreal Wanderers, Ottawa Senators, and Quebec Bulldogs. So, one for the French, one for the random, one for the national capital, and one for Yale. Just kidding.

Well, "Canada" means village, so it's not like they're known for rocking the abstract metaphor.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

I have also been Wikipedia-ing hockey teams. I had no idea that the Amerks were no longer the "farm team" for the Buffalo Sabres, but for some team in Florida.

I'm pretty sure I'm contractually obligated here to say: GOOOOOO BRUINS!!!!!

(The first US team in the NHL!)

So the Hurricanes could have been The Floyd?

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

The Floyd

Now THAT would be an awesome team name. But sadly, nobody with team-buyin'-money had such vision.
