Well, Wikipedia tells me the first four NHL teams were Montreal Canadiens, Montreal Wanderers, Ottawa Senators, and Quebec Bulldogs. So, one for the French, one for the random, one for the national capital, and one for Yale. Just kidding.
Well, "Canada" means village, so it's not like they're known for rocking the abstract metaphor.
I have also been Wikipedia-ing hockey teams. I had no idea that the Amerks were no longer the "farm team" for the Buffalo Sabres, but for some team in Florida.
