"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Judgey people should work on their shut-the-fuck-up skills.

Here, Aims, this made me think of you the other day.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

Duuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuude. That thing is sweet as hell.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

My parents' anniversary ceremony was fun. The pastor who originally married them was one of the pastors who did the ceremony. (He's retired, and went to a different church about 45 years ago.) He had his actual notes from the original wedding with him, and read from them for part of the ceremony. My parents were the only people that he saved his notes for.

I might have cried a little.

Wow, that's amazing! And very touching. I feel bad we did not do anything for my parents' 40th wedding anniversary last year, since I"m not sure my dad will make another 9 years.

That's sweet, tommy.

I live in New Orleans now.

Fuck yeah!

Also, congrats on the excellent news, Gar. Very pleased to hear it.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

I liked the sodastream tonic water, but I am not the right judge because I don't normally drink tonic water. I saw mixes on sale at the outlet mall for a dollar off, but a) didn't bring it with me this summer and b) have no jack. But still!

My inlaws are celebrating their 50th this summer. We're looking forward to it.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

I am curious about a tonic mix to add to fizzy water from the Sodastream. (Yes, Pete finally did the math and decided getting me a Penguin made sense. Fizzy water on demand!)

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

I have the regular mix, Jilli. But I want the sugar free. The regular is fine. It's tonic-y and all.

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

Yay for no cancer, Gar!!!

My sister just bought a sodastream for her husband--she's hoping it'll save money on all the bottled soda water he buys.

I had to change my paper topic four times last night, so I didn't get my paper done overnight. I told the teacher I'd email it to her tomorrow, so I'll take the 1 point hit for being a day late. This is the first time I've ever turned in a paper late--oops!! And after I write that paper up in the morning, I'll have to write another paper and a small blurb which is due on Wednesday for the group project, and then I have to arrange for a site visit to go on before Friday night and write that up for class on Saturday the 18th, and then the take-home final will be due on the 25th. Ugh.

ION, I just placed a Penzey's order for lots of spices--yay! Time to get cooking.
