My weekend includes meeting up very soon with Dani, who's in town!

So what are people doing this weekend?

I kind of forgot to make plans, so I guess I am doing laundry and stuff.

Has anyone dealt with a website called Gilt Groupe? A friend gave me a gift card for them, but they don't seem willing to let me use it. It shows up, but when I tried to order something to use it, there's no place to indicate you want to use a gift card and they require you to enter complete credit card information. It's too much to just abandon and there actually was something I wanted ... I've sent them multiple e-mails - pointing out that if they refuse to honor the gift card neither my friend nor I is likely to use them ever again - but haven't gotten any response. There's no information on the site on how to use a gift card, and I'm reluctant to plug in my credit card info because I don't want to have to pay for the stuff.

Any ideas?

Congrats to your folks!!

I don't have big plans this weekend, happily. So I will write and hang out with my parents and see my younger niece, who is coming home from college tonight. And I'll go running, and maybe get around to starting Deadline. And maybe I'll make a cake.

My weekend plans include meeting people from the internet, getting a massage, and possibly going to a wake. With other possible excitement in between.

My main weekend task is remembering on Sunday night that I have to be here early on Monday.

Toddson, I have vaguely heard of them--there's a wikipedia page about it! Looks like most of their stuff is flash sales, so the thing you like may not be around if you can't get it worked out. Sad. Could you get one of those "single use" credit card numbers from your cc company and put that in?

I am trying to decide how hardcore I want to search for a new roommate, and when/where. I'm still crossing my fingers one of my friends is looking for a place, but I don't think they are.

My weekend plans involve starting and finishing a 5-page paper this afternoon/early evening, and then reading several articles and two chapters of my textbook before getting a few hours sleep, and then, if I get up in time, going for an early-morning swim at 6:00 am before heading down to class. Tomorrow evening and Sunday will involve working on the group project (including the paper that I have to write for my part of it) due Wednesday, and then doing some cooking and cleaning.

Oh, and sometime this afternoon, I have to line up a site visit for next week to get that write-up done for next Saturday's class. I swear, this teacher is going to break me.
