Now, I can hold a note for a long time...actually I can hold a note forever. But eventually that's just noise. It's the change we're listening for. The note coming after, and the one after that. That's what makes it music.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

It's a good thing you're thick skinned msbelle, because your boss is thick skulled.

"I don't mean to micromanage you..."

It is like your manager is teaching a master class in what not to do. Are you sure you're not being Punk'd in some way?

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Volcanic lightning is pretty!

That's the pain / That cuts a straight line down through the heart / We call it love

Oh, amyth, that's just awful about your SIL.

So unmotivated to work today, oy. I was out of town all weekend (like from 6pm Friday to 10:30pm Sunday) with my choir on a trip to Chattanooga and Birmingham. We volunteered with the Salvation Army and sang with a Birmingham choir and visited the 16th Street Baptist Church (wow, that was an emotional experience) and spent a lot of time on buses. It was a great weekend and I really got to know a lot of other choir folks much better, but holy cow, I'm wiped out now. Just want to go home and catch up on Doctor Who and nap and eat salad for the next three days.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

I got two of my most pressing errands out of the way today -- got the new city parking sticker, and passed the reinspection of my car, so I can park in front of my house again. Also bonus-erranded, dropped off two bags of donation clothing!

Our wings are not tired.

Kate, did you take pics at the church? What kind of memorial do they have up for the four little girls. I can only imagine how emotional that visit must have been for you.

I am so upset on behalf of your sister-in-law, Amyth. I am glad she is surrounded by her family though.
