Does that control only your heat, Sumi? If so, you could tape it in place and stick on a note.

Yes, it controls the heater in the living room. (I no longer have central heat - just individual heaters.) That's a good idea.
There would be no way that it could have done it on it's own, is there?
Hey! How come nobody told this Cowboy Bebop fan that there was such a thing as (Bill) Cosby Bebop?
No, breakers only flip off on their own. My guess would be that the power surge flipped some other breakers and someone "helpfully" flipped them all back on.

Ha!
Hi JZ. Something about your "Wolves in the Wall" analogy bothered me a bit, and as I realized what it was, it inspired a bit of flash fiction. It is posted in "Write Way" at Typo Boy "The Great Write Way, Act Three: Where's the gun?" Jun 5, 2011 9:41:51 am PDT .
I've been swimming my laps like I'm supposed to, but my form is actually getting worse. So, I think I'm going to sign up for a month's worth of lessons in July. They offer four half-hour lessons from 7/10 to 7/31, with up to four adults in each group, for only $44, and it'll be worth it. My breathing is all wrong, I know, and my kicking has gotten worse--I used to just start kicking and stroking fine, but now I can't do both of them at the same time, so my kicking has become negligible at best.
The only swim stroke I can do is the backstroke, and I can't kick very well because my knees object strenuously.
I got spoiled for the French Open the moment I checked my e-mail, because Yahoo helpfully included it in a headline.
