Buffy: So how'd she get away with the bad mojo stuff? Anya: Giles sold it to her. Giles: Well, I didn't know it was her. I mean, how could I? If it's any consolation, I may have overcharged her.

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I was always a Han Solo girl. I was kind of smug when I was 8 that the other girls could have Luke if they wanted, less competition for Han.

edited for faulty math

Our wings are not tired.

Does it say too much about me that I considered myself an R2D2 girl?

I haven't trusted science since I saw the film "Flubber."

What movies or books have you re-watched where your life experience altered your opinion on a character's choices?

Sondheim's Company.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Ooh, I'm going to see Company for the first time next week, at the movie theater!

And I was always a Han girl, and totally agree on Liesl. Ugh!

Oh, Dana, in what way? I'd love to know.

(Weirdly, a guy I was involved with in the mid-90's was obsessed with Sondheim and especially Johanna in Sweeney Todd. He eventually married a Johanna and I think half the reason was due to her name.)

I just rewatched ET, and now I totally understand why the mother freaked right the fuck out. I remember being very frustrated and angry with her when i was a little kid.

I have tickets for it too!

The various marriages hit me in different ways the longer I'm married. It's different every time I see it. So I guess we'll see what happens next week.

TOTALLY! I remember, at the time, thinking how overeacting she was. Heh.

And I've only ever watched it as a singleton. And that's not likely to change anytime soon. I find the longer I am single, the more if hurts to watch any films about relationships. They just make me feel lonely.
