I've been out of the abbey two days, I've beaten a lawman senseless, I've fallen in with criminals. I watched the captain shoot the man I swore to protect. And I'm not even sure if I think he was wrong.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

Me, I always get hookers and blow stuck in my head to the tune of "Silver and Gold" from Rudolph, the Red-Nosed Reindeer. And I'm not the only one here.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Pelfrey gave up 9 hits in the first 3 innings.

Aww, pshaw. A's just got swept by the freakin' Yankees.

But here's something to love about the Giants, they're the first major sports franchise to do an "It Gets Better" Ad.

I kinda got choked up when sturdy ol' Alabama-born Matt Cain was standing up for LGBT youth.

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

Whew--just got back from my first walk around the office complex. Only a 15 minute walk to start, but even though my hips were really starting to hurt halfway through, I kept on going and didn't sit down, and didn't really even slow down. I'm going to try and do at least a 15 minutes walk every weekday in addition to my four swims a week. I might take a long lunch and go for a swim tomorrow, since the pool is going to be closed on Friday evenings for the summer (boo! hiss!). It's only a five minute drive away, and I can get in my one hour swim, shower, and still get back to my desk in under 90 minutes.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I'm not sure I buy Link Heartthrob as Han Solo, though...

That one is not as perfect as the others. Who would be better, though? Gonzo would work, but I like him as Darth Vader. Hm.
