I'm kind of terrified of being chased but I was peer pressured into signing up!
I twisted my ankle a while ago, like over a year ago, and it's never stopped hurting. I did PT and have had various drugs and nothing has stopped the pain. So I saw an ankle ortho a few weeks ago and he suggested I wear a boot for about a month to immobilize the ankle because sometimes that helps. It's like a torn ligament or possibly a tendon, I can't remember what he said and it doesn't even show up on an MRI. It's mostly just annoying. And now I'm having a sloth month -- no riding, walking much, yoga -- which is kind of nice but also pretty stressful for me. I hope it helps but I have my doubts. If it doesn't I think I'll have to decide if I just live with it or get surgery eventually.
Given enough prep time, Batman can beat anyone
This is my standard position on the man. A tenet of my belief system, if you will.
We're a little too far from a beach here to make it a last-minute trip, sadly. I actually miss the lake up north of Fulton. Twenty minutes away, cold and clear and really pretty.
In the case of Iron Man, all he would have to do is bring a bottle of 30-year-old scotch to the battle.
Oh, snap.
That does sound annoying, Lisa! I hope the boot helps.
I have given up on today. It's just not happening. It's weird, because I was comatose most of yesterday, but it doesn't seem to have helped.
I hear ya. I didn't go to work today. I am trying to be productive at home though. Need to go hurricane prep shopping.
I feel like such a faker! I can totally do my normal things with my ankle the way it is, it just hurts. I've started telling people I'm just wearing the boot just to get attention.

Can you put cool stickers all over it, at least?

Truer words have never been spoken.
Although, truth be told, Tony Stark isn't too selective about his brand of hooch.
