Jayne: Captain, can you stop her from bein' cheerful, please? Mal: I don't believe there is a power in the 'verse that can stop Kaylee from being cheerful. Sometimes you just wanna duct tape her mouth and dump her in the hold for a month.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

So sorry, Maria. Sending you warm thoughts for a peaceful passage for him.

Because books.

I tried a rooibos last week, completely unsweetened (which is weird for me), and really liked it (even not sweet). I want to pick up some more of that. I do wish it had caffeine, though.

All kinds of peaceful vibes to your uncle and your family, Maria.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I think it might have been the chai elements that were too strong, Burrell. I wanted a replacement for the Jamaican cinnamon tea, but the chai is way too fancy.

The rooibos is great. Nice and light and satisfying. (eta: and the no caffeine is a pull for me)

Okay, here's a dumb question for people that have seen me: what's my body type? I need to buy a couple more pairs of jeans (so I can burn the hideously unflattering pair) and hopefully get a pair in black. I'm looking at "best jeans for your body type" and now that I don't exercise, I'm not sure what my body type is. It just, you know, is.

But, man, when a pair of jeans looks bad, they look really bad. I love the flattering jeans I have, but I'm not sure what they're doing right.

eta: Unrelatedly, PMM, have you read this Cumbersnatch article?

Actually, he is keen to flex his alpha-male credentials in Atonement, After the Dance, now War Horse. “I’d love to beef up and do a Tom Hardy [the star of Bronson]. Bring it on.”

Are they straight leg? Boot cut? Low waist?

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

I haven't been able to find black jeans that I like since everything became stretch. None of them actually look black.

They're not straight leg, because the straight leg jeans I have make me look lumpy and horrible, instead of nicely androgynous, like I was hoping. I think they fall under the definition of boot cut, and the waist isn't particularly low, but they're not mom jeans either.

I have three pairs of exactly the same style, in two sizes, just in case. But they don't come in black.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

What's the style/brand of the ones you like, or a link, so we can see?

Amy - May 30, 2011 11:14:07 am PDT #10347 of 30001
Because books.

My perfect jeans are a Banana Republic boot cut I found at the outlet. I need to get more, but it was two years ago, so I don't even know if they still make the exact style.

I don't like black jeans anymore. The undyed ones fade to gray too quickly, and the deep dyed ones show every. single. cat. hair. and always feel funny.
