Oh, Burrell, I'm glad you like the Gemma. It's definitely on my list for later. Right now I have on Nubar Noir layered with the silver glitter from the polish box, for maximum stage sparkly on Saturday. It came out great, if a little uneven on the glitter.
I was not productive yesterday. But I have been today so far. Dishes and laundry in, trash out, freezer and fridge cleared (still need to be wiped down), showerhead soaking in vinegar. Resting now waiting for period meds to kick in, and then tackling the master bedroom/bathroom.
We had a mango tree in our backyard in Florida, and they were delicious. But I've never had a Jamaican one.
What 160,000 pounds of industrial printer ink looks like on a highway
All you wanted to do was have a smooth commute this morning but of course it takes you an addition two hours because of an overturned tracker-trailer, what a way to start the day right? Well this morning outside of Boston, we can imagine commuters were rubber-necking more than usual as they got to see one hell of a sight . . . 160,000 pounds of industrial printer ink splattered over a 500 foot stretch of road…
Oh, they must ship them green and then they never fully ripen. Lots of fruit with that problem.
Whew! I just did my second ever bikram yoga class. It was slightly better than the first one (if only because I wore a bandana instead of the headband thing which gave me a headache).
I bought a papaya at TJ's yesterday. It was not as ripe as I had hoped.
The chai oolong I bought yesterday was disappointing. I will have to brew it for less long next time.
I tossed that cup, and am trying the tropical rooibos. It smells delicious.
OMG, I just went for a crazy-ass walk. Now I'm counting underwear and thinking I don't really need to do laundry after all....

Yep. I sniff the stem end to find ones that actually smell like mango, then bring them home to ripen. Even so, I feel quite sure I'm missing out on some magical mango flavor.
We used to have an apricot tree in the backyard. The difference between those tree-ripened 'cots and the ones in the stores is HUGE. Still, my kids love apricots even when they come from the store.
Weird about the oolong brewing too long, ita. I have been drinking lots of oolong lately (long leaf ones) and I find that the leaves can just sit in the cup all day, I can pour new water over them, and they never really become bitter.
So sorry, Maria. Sending you warm thoughts for a peaceful passage for him.
