The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

One downside - now that the filth is semi-conquered, the clutter is more obvious and dismal. How does that even work?

Wait, you're hiding somewhere in my house RIGHT NOW?

ION, I just got done swiffering. 1 long-haired cat + one short-haired cat + one long-haired Goth = we could weave a whole new fuzzy creature.

Matilda sighed, in the most sweetly wistful voice imaginable, "Good-bye, little girl." And then, reproachfully, "Bad bunny."

Dreaming about Clovis, I see.

BRB, MUST REANIMATE FROM BEING DED FROM CUTE.

I used odd cotton socks as dust rags/cleaning rags/paint brush cleaners/furniture refinishing rags

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

I totally do the rewashing odd socks in the hope that they'll retrieve their mate from the great washing machine in the sky. It never really works, although I do occasionally find the errant sock lurking about the inanimate dogs under the bed.

I did not catch productivity off you guys, I just wished I did.

For Pix, this month's Budget Travel on Barcelona tapas bars.

I'd definitely vote for Barcelona over Madrid, but that may be due to an Ascot Man bias. Admittedly, the Prado kicks ass (although I'm still annoyed that Guernica was moved to the Reina Sofia).

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

Since I had stayed up just about all night on Friday night to do my paper, after I got home from class yesterday and talked with my mom for a bit, I laid down on the couch to snooze. Well, I slept from about 7:30 to 3:30 this morning! I then finally ate the dinner I was going to eat the previous evening, then cleaned off some of my dvr, and then got my laundry and dishes completely finished before going to the pool at 8:00. Came home by 9:45, and by 11:15, had most of the apartment picked up, all vacumned, most of the bathroom cleaned (left the tub and floors alone), and at least made the bed. Dad got here then, and just left an hour ago. So, I'm going to do the dusting and finish the bathroom tonight, including scrubbing the floor there and the kitchen. Then, my place will be clean!!!

Tomorrow is sleeping in, then swim at 11:00, grocery shop, and then do my part of the group project for our first draft (due by Thursday night).

Dad and I went to TGIF for mid-afternoon meal (not quite lunch, not quite supper), and I got parmesan coated tilapia topped with crabmeat. It came with red pepper and beans and some rice, so I had protein, carbs, and veg for my meal, and then Dad ordered the oreo dessert, which I had a few bites of and also ate the strawberry garnish after dipping it in caramel (OMG, so good!!). So, my meal ended up being extremely well-balanced!! And I've got enough leftover for at least one if not two other meals.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

I feel like I should be able to come up with something artsy to do with odd socks.

I really shouldn't be surprised that someone whose email address is "Meatwad Bro" can't manage to come up with any useful information for me. I want to suggest that he get a more professional sounding address for work; something like "Crude Tino".

I miss actual three-day weekends that don't involve scheduling weirdness or using PTO to nail down a day off. But that's the deal with 24-hour support situations. I'm really, really hoping that it's so slow they send folks home, but with recent weather I'm rather doubting it.

Oh, I hope you can get a day off, Connie! I'm looking forward to doing not much of anything other than homework tomrrow. And cooking.

In more mememe news, I just realized that today is the six month anniversary of my surgery! I happened to have Dad take photos of me today that match the same place I had him take the ones about ten weeks after the surgery.

I'm always amazed at the way humans can bounce back after such major changes. We're very stretchy.
