Oh, I hope you can get a day off, Connie! I'm looking forward to doing not much of anything other than homework tomrrow. And cooking.

In more mememe news, I just realized that today is the six month anniversary of my surgery! I happened to have Dad take photos of me today that match the same place I had him take the ones about ten weeks after the surgery.

I'm always amazed at the way humans can bounce back after such major changes. We're very stretchy.

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

Kathy, I am continually impressed at your transformation. GO YOU!

Yesterday, I folded all the things (except for many of the socks). Today, I washed all of the rest of the things, including G & N's sheets and quilts.

I also went to a disappointing yoga class. Regular teacher was gone and sub was not my fave. A regular of the other class told the sub "I find what you have us doing annoying, but it's actually helping me find balance in this pose."

I totally agreed. It was annoying, but sometimes it's good to be told to un-rut yourself from a way of thinking.

We're very stretchy.

Connie, can I snag that for a tagline? I love it!

Kathy, you're looking great!

After swimming, I hit up NY&Co where I have giftcards. Only spent half of one, and know I have more on the other, though not sure how much. Got 3 tops (one just a tshirt) and a drapy cardigan thing. Of all the styles out there these days, the drapy tops are the only ones really working for me. I don't need embellishments on my torso. Anywa, at least that was successful. Target out there was out of knit dresses, but had my juice. I've been told to check out Kohl's, which I'll do tomorrow. I'd really prefer to just use gift cards, but if they didn't have anything else that I really needed. There'll be new stock.

Tomorrow have to get to the pool early, as it closes at noon. But at least it opens at 5:30, so if I wake up then....

Because books.

Kathy, your progress is just incredible. And I bet you feel so good!

I never found much at NY&Co. but I always loved their jewelry. I have more than a dozen earrings from there.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

I was looking up a few restaurants near Lancaster, and there are a bunch of Amish smorgasbord-style restaurants (which, as far as I can tell, means the same thing as buffet.) They've all got a set price for eating all you want, but one of them has discounts for people who've recently had bariatric surgery -- I think it was 50% off for the first year and 10% off for the second year. I guess I understand the reasoning, but I wonder how many restaurants are doing something like that.
