Because books.

Paul Newman and Robert Redford playing ping pong. That's a lot of pretty.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Go Liese! (also, yikes.)

I did so good! Walked to the movies (Bridesmaids -- liked it, wanted to tell everyone else in the theater that I swear I do have friends), walked through the Public Gardens a little, went to Filene's Basement and Marshall's (two cute dresses, $25 each!), to the supermarket, and now home. I should really go for a walk by the river, because today is the perfect weather day (for the year), but now I feel lazy.

4 hours of yardwork. The yard is mowed, weedeated, and a bunch of weeds were pulled. I want to clear out one full flowerbed and get it tilled up with compost and then mulch down.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I have just plowed through my resources. Not a spoon left for love or money. The key was to put the uncomfortable stuff (involving changing rooms) up front, and leave the absolutely required until last.

Of all the stores I stopped in, I spent the most in the tea store. I have no idea how that happened. Well, aside from the multiple sorts of tea and the tea containers.

I also have a new kind of expensive bra. I tried on cheaper bras, but I don't want my boobs to look like that! Why do I have to have these breasts?

Huh. They did rob me, at the tea store. I just realised he sold me a $3 cup of tea that I really didn't need to have. Why am I so easy?

I just realized my general plan for tomorrow is to be out of the house for all of it. At least noonish to midnightish. Or more. Huh. Oops. Maybe there will be an afternoon nap at my parents'.

Ginger, you are a deeply kind person, but since my mother is kind of like your sister with respect to technology, I am going to suggest she call Geek Squad. If the phone ever comes back on - we finally were able to report the outage and they told us Wednesday!

So we are now in the Charlotte airport waiting for the flight to Dublin. I don't have a seat, but they tell us I will. We're meeting Kate and M. in a bar called The Library tomorrow at 3 - what could be better? And we'll see an old friend who lives in Greensboro NC but is from Dublin and happens to be in town this week. We get home next Friday (June 3) so smonster we should be fine for your prospective trip south.

Let me know if I can help, flea. Have a great trip. The Guinness tour is totally worth it, particularly since it comes with the very best Guinness at the end.
