Everything looks good from here... Yes. Yes, this is a fertile land, and we will thrive. We will rule over all this land, and we will call it... 'This Land.' I think we should call it 'your grave!' Ah, curse your sudden but inevitable betrayal! Ha ha HA! Mine is an evil laugh! Now die! Oh, no, God! Oh, dear God in heaven!

Goodbye and Good Riddance 2010: Don't Let the Door Hit Ya...

Every year we watch the Charlie Brown special, do the Snoopy dance, wish everybody a Merry Christmukkah, and thank our Secret Santas in the good riddance thread. Which is this one, in case you were wondering. Oh, and 2010? We have a few words for you.

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

I always have fun with the internet stalking part. Totally justified! Mostly harmless!

"What kind of magical sunshine and lollipop world do you live in? Because you need to be medicated."-SFist

And, in his eternal quest to best the quester, gift #3 is... a game!

Yeah, that Scola doesn't know me at all.

Sadly, I cannot further investigate the intriguingly named Forbidden Planet as I am off to the ballet, but it looks like just the kind of co-operative card game I love. 3 down, 1 to go. Yay, Tom!

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Oooh! That's a great game! Good choice, Scola. It's very fun. I got to play a couple games with the creator.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

You played board games with GOD?!?!?

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

LOWERCASE C.

Is this some sort of "Ceci n'est pas une pipe" thing? Are you trying to blow our little bourgeois minds??

I have an unmarked PRESENT!!! USPS just dropped it off and I ripped into it like a meth head into a candy bar. OMG so cute gnome planter. Vintage wall planter/vase, possibly. My guess is from the 40s or 50s. Green and adorable and going right into my kitchen window to be planted with a succulant. THANK YOU mysterious gifter. I assume from here. I will now begin my sleuthing and I will have you found out by end of day. LOVE IT!

OK, LAists! and I have a few address, so I am narrowing it down.

Um, btw, I was checking out the gnome some more and it is stamped and a cursory googling tells me that this may be the work of a former Disney illustrator who also did some pottery for one of the well known California Pottery houses. Um? AWESOME!
