Goodbye and Good Riddance 2010: Don't Let the Door Hit Ya...

Every year we watch the Charlie Brown special, do the Snoopy dance, wish everybody a Merry Christmukkah, and thank our Secret Santas in the good riddance thread. Which is this one, in case you were wondering. Oh, and 2010? We have a few words for you.

Oh, shit! I thought I had until the last day of March. I just need to mail the damned thing! This weekend, promise! Sorry!

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

I'm glad Vortex wasn't the only one who thought we had until the end of March. I will get my gift in the mail this weekend. I am still ungifted but I'm OK with that.

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

You know, we COULD have a combination super-early/ super-late gift exchange - those who are always early with stuff could send prezzies out in, say, June. And those who are always late could send prezzies out in, say, June. (One being the present of Christmas past, one the present of Christmas yeet to come.)

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

OMG! My husband walked in today and he was all "Um, did you order something from Israel?"

I squeed immediately and opened it and it's a rocking gorgeous teapot with LEMONS on it and some delicious hazelnut chocolates!

PERFECT! I love it so much. I have a small collection of teapots: an old one-serving brownstone teapot, a raku teapot from a distingushed ceramacist my mom bought when she was working at an art store and now this lovely teapot from a family in Jerusalem who has been making them for years.

It's really lovely, and I adore it. When I'm not using it, it will be displayed in my hutch!

Since I have the NOM chocolates, too, I'm going to say it's from Shir? But there was a reference in the lovely little letter that accompanied it that made a reference to being a Jewish mama, so maybe Nilly? I don't know!

Rav todot, havera sheli! Toda raba.

"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

Wooo-hooo! It arrived in one piece! Really, I was extra worried about this one.

And yes, it's from me. I'm so glad chocolates are becoming my identifying mark here.

Yay, I thought it was you! How did I get so lucky? Last year, I got a present from Faye in Bangkok and this year, from Shir in Israel! I am so lucky to know all of you!
