Goodbye and Good Riddance 2010: Don't Let the Door Hit Ya...

Every year we watch the Charlie Brown special, do the Snoopy dance, wish everybody a Merry Christmukkah, and thank our Secret Santas in the good riddance thread. Which is this one, in case you were wondering. Oh, and 2010? We have a few words for you.

Embrace the idea that we are the leaders we've been looking for. Grace Lee Boggs

I am also ded of msbelle. If this is the response to secretiveness, I'm totally being sneaky next year!

Thank you, Sue! It was a lovely surprise.

Yay, I'm so glad you like. And I was so thrilled to be able to send you something anonymously.

I don't know Avison super well. I've studied a few of her poems and I liked them. My other choice was Michael Ondaatje, but I feel like people either really love him (as I do) or really hate him and I wasn't sure if you had an opinion.

I'm not familiar with Ondaatje, either. Aside from Oliver, my knowledge of modern poets is pretty sad. I'll have to look him up.

He's more famous for his prose (he wrote The English Patient), but he started out as a poet.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

If I encourage people to be more sneaky and secrety in the gifting ways, then my work here is done. It's like a whole other gift, the hunt, the fake outrage, the ridiculousness. priceless.

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

I like the sneaky! Also, I like the msbelle hunting-for-it.

Dear Secret Santa receiver person.... I will send stuff. I PROMISE. But I am sort of swamped today and what I have to send will be out tomorrow. I do promise.

Because books.

What Kat said. I'm working hard on the gift, but it may not go out until ... Thursday. Yikes. I'm sorry!

Not that anyone should put off sending just cause, BUT, if you look at the elfster site, the deadline to get gifts is by year-end. I think everyone is doing a great job this year. Also remember if you are not going to be able to make year-end deadline, email me post-haste, we have people in the wings ready to send notes and trinkets and even the main gifts if needed.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

I haz a box! I'm guessing it is secret santa related cause there are close to no clues on the outside regarding who it is from. I say close to cause I see a zip code for where it came from. But my secret santa has been sneaky on earlier notes, so who knows.

Will open when I'm done with work, otherwise I'll be distracted by the shiny.
