I think it's about time for QUILTBAG.
There was a thing on the Times website (not sure if it was in the actual paper) recently about STEM, for science-technology-engineering-math, as used in education, and how it's stupid. But honestly, it's so much better than SMET, which is what they started with....
I think the U stands for going "Ummmm" as you try to think of a good answer for the question "So what do you identify as?" Or "And what do you call your--well, that person who lives with you who makes the wonderful cookies, you know, him? Her?"
I've seen QUILTBAG used nonmockingly, too. And I think the U is for Unsure.
Also, I own no purple, and we're having dinner with a big group of people tonight who are QUILTBAG and QUILTBAG-friendly, and I fully expect to be given shit for not wearing purple. Not mocking shit, real shit.
And I have a cold and feel awful and will gut anyone like a trout who tries it.
I think they need to remember that seven-digit rule, though. I can barely remember LGBT correctly, much less ... whatever that was up there.

That's why QUILTBAG works!
I don't understand you people with no purple. It's a lovely lovely colour. Come over to the grape side. My decision this morning was pretty simple--warmest uncrinkled thing meant the sweater. And it's the right purple that I can match it with one of my purple pendants.
I'm trying to decide which is more ironical and useful for every #2 situation--Electric Boogaloo, or The Squeakquel. I think I've decided Electric Boogaloo wins, and that it may even be acceptable to slide The Squeakquel in for subsequent sequels.

It's important to remember that before Electric Boogaloo the go-to sequel for all joke making was "The Bride of..."

What a coincydink - I was just reading this:
Rarest movie poster in the world on sale, features Frankenstein demanding sex
What's the rarest movie poster in the world? This 1935 poster for Bride of Frankenstein, which boasts a chained, philandering Boris Karloff. Only one copy is known to exist, and you can own it for a mere $700K.
Not mocking shit, real shit.
I now have this image of Steph's dinner companions handing over actual shit (probably dog). Possibly in a quiltbag.
