Heh! *hi-fives -t*
I'm wearing purple socks. Aside from an hour at the gym today, I doubt anyone is going to set eyes on me. And I'm not wearing my favorite purple shirt to share my sociopolitical views with the cat.
The cat doesn't care who loves who, as long as they spare some time for cat appreciation.
I wanted to tell them that there has been a paradigm shift and to think outside the box so that we can actualize the potential of the situation and proactively solution the situation.
You are so not the nicest.
I've seen some reference inside the LGTBAQ community locally mockingly refer to the endless addition of letters as "QUILTBAG."
I've seen it used nonmockingly.
It's kind of cute.
At TESC, we went from the LGBTRC (Lesbian-gay-trans resouce center) to the EQA (Evergreen Queer Alliance) JUST as I finally got the flippin' letters sorted out.

That actually hurt a little bit to read. "Solution" as a verb is like a knife in my back, man.
Fall fell here, for sure. I could have actually used gloves today! Or maybe fingerless ones. Something. A sassy scarf, perhaps.
(Sidenote: queer != the same thing in all locales, so internationalization may have something to do with its fall from favor as a catch-all. It's apparently pretty specific to 100% homosexuals in some areas. I had to clear up a LOT of confusion on my flist because of that.)
I think it's about time for QUILTBAG.
There was a thing on the Times website (not sure if it was in the actual paper) recently about STEM, for science-technology-engineering-math, as used in education, and how it's stupid. But honestly, it's so much better than SMET, which is what they started with....
I think the U stands for going "Ummmm" as you try to think of a good answer for the question "So what do you identify as?" Or "And what do you call your--well, that person who lives with you who makes the wonderful cookies, you know, him? Her?"
I've seen QUILTBAG used nonmockingly, too. And I think the U is for Unsure.
Also, I own no purple, and we're having dinner with a big group of people tonight who are QUILTBAG and QUILTBAG-friendly, and I fully expect to be given shit for not wearing purple. Not mocking shit, real shit.
And I have a cold and feel awful and will gut anyone like a trout who tries it.
I think they need to remember that seven-digit rule, though. I can barely remember LGBT correctly, much less ... whatever that was up there.

That's why QUILTBAG works!
