I am secretly twelve years old. I just had a bologna sandwich and Oreos for dinner and now I'm watching Greek. Which is an ABC Family show.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

So, with baseball's instant replay, do the umps have different camera views than the broadcast reviews?

Nope.

"You can't put a price on the joy of not giving a shit." -Zenkitty

I'm jealous of people who go straight to sleep. I can't do that without drugs. Sometimes I'll fall asleep on my own after an hour or so, or I'll stay awake half the night staring at the ceiling.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Yeah, I always take a long time to go to sleep. This is why I have to "go to bed" at 10 if I want 8 hours, because maybe then I'll be asleep by 11. Which I realize is no actual problem, insomniacs!

I don't sleep very well either. Well, last week I did because I had a cold and so I took copious amounts of NyQuil, which ever so slightly aids my falling asleep time. I've never taken anything else, and I really don't want to, unless it gets to the point where I'm too tired to function during the day.

I read somewhere once that the average person can fall asleep in 8 minutes? That was astounding to me, it is always at least an hour if I sleep at all.

I do find that I sleep better on the couch in our family room than I do in my bedroom? Other than it being stupidly cold in my bedroom all the time, I can't really figure out what the reason is.

It varies for me. Strange location all bets are off.

Sweet stupid zombie jesus, I JUST realized that last week? When I told my supervisor I was taking a vacation day just because I needed a break? She was not-so-subtly encouraging me to take it as a sick day.

Now, I've done that on occasion, just not in a while.

I can't believe I missed that FOR A WEEK.

May be a sign I needed a break.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

Does this make sense to people?

Chicago Manual of Style says U.S. can only be used as an adjective. The AP Stylebook used to say that, but started allowing U.S. as a noun five or so years ago.

Punishingly Intricate

I don't usually have a problem falling asleep but then, often, I have hypnogogic hallucinations right after I've fallen asleep that wake me up and freak my shit out. I can usually still fall right back to sleep but sometimes I'm too freaked out esp if Bob is not in town. Am lucky though, I know! It's nothing like real insomnia...can be slightly dangerous, though, one time I thought someone was attacking me and I stood up on the bed and punched out a blade of the ceiling fan. nuts!

Have you heard or read Mike Birbiglia, Lisa? He has some crazy fucking stories about his sleep disorder.

Oh! I've heard of him but I'm not sure I've heard him talk about that. It's really gotten bad in the last year or so. I think it's exasperated by not getting enough sleep plus stress.
