Shrift, I am in the chicago area, eating a fajita salad. I may have stolen your evening. But I'm just stopping through o'hare, so I'll be gone and let you resume, soon!

Not loving you, doc.
I'm pretty much at loathing her.
When I said die, clock, I didn't mean for time to become interminably slow.
The echoes of the universe's existential angst is now drifting through the barren empty halls of this airport.
That is to say, our plane's door had mechanical problems. It's been fixed, but now we have to wait for people intended to go on the next flight so that they can combine flights. And those people aren't going to be here until seven. So we have another hour and a half to wait for no reason at all. A total of three extra hours for a forty-five minute flight.

So close and yet.....

Guess what I'm doing tomorrow night??!
sobbing. Only 9 more. 4 tomorrow. Why is it after 44, the last 9 seem so daunting?
I can do a pot (2 1/2 cups) of tea or a cup of coffee, after that I get jittery. I'll sometimes have iced tea on the weekend, but only if I'm going to be doing something when the effects hit like swim or run crazy errands. Basically something all gogogo. Nothing involving attention to detail.

WHAT? Oh...
Once in a blue moon caffeine hits me a little strong but usually I don't notice much of a difference after my daily iced quad shot espresso latte. Enough so that I can vary my time of consumption without a resulting headache. I'm allowed 8oz of skim milk a day and sometimes I choose to have it in my coffee in the morning but lately I've been drinking it after work, around 5pm-ish.
I thought that yerba mate had about the same caffeine as coffee but I could be wrong. Not that I think "have a cup of coffee to wake up" is sound medical advice. Closer to BS.
I tried Ambien years ago and it did nothing for me. Doc's advice was for me to take the pill after I lie down and then try to go straight to sleep. Right - that worked. I just stopped taking the Ambien. I only have occassional insomnia, though, so I can live with that result. Someone with persistent insomnia shouldn't have to live with it.
I am secretly twelve years old. I just had a bologna sandwich and Oreos for dinner and now I'm watching Greek. Which is an ABC Family show.

Nope.
I'm jealous of people who go straight to sleep. I can't do that without drugs. Sometimes I'll fall asleep on my own after an hour or so, or I'll stay awake half the night staring at the ceiling.
