Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Back when I was heavily doped up I chugged espresso like there was no tomorrow, any time of the day. Just in case it helped. But in those days, nothing could stop me from sleeping, such was the intensity of my drug regimen. I never noticed a distinct difference.

Since one of the best things I can try and do for my migraines is sleep, I don't like to do anything that gets in the way of that.

Gah. I have the strongest tasting toothpaste in the world, and I can still taste coffee. Coffee I like, but distracting nonetheless.

My student paper had a funny intoxicated arrest story this am: [link]

A University student now faces a slew of charges after biting, running from and singing with police.

Jasmyn Felice Jones, 21, was arrested and charged with battery, possession of marijuana, DUI, obstruction, hit and run, failure to obey traffic signs, driving on a suspended license and reckless driving at the intersection of River Road and East Village Surface Road on Oct. 14 at 10:06 p.m.

Jones’ bizarre interaction with police began when officers responded to a car accident near the Ramsey Center, according to a University Police report.

Upon arrival, the arresting officer saw Jones waving her arms in the air while she screamed, “I was the driver, I was the driver,” according to the report. ...

While she was being restrained, the report states Jones bit an officer on the wrist, leaving red marks.

After being placed into the back of a different patrol car, Jones became “agitated by the fluorescent yellow traffic vests with police on them and stated that officers wearing the vests were not the police,” according to the report.

In an attempt to calm her down, officers then began singing the hymn “Our God Is an Awesome God” with Jones.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Now tagless for your comfort.

Why haven't the Germans developed a single word to cover that particular kink?

Punishingly Intricate

I wish I could tell a good story. There is one coming in Feb: Gimme Shelter: Stories about finding, creating and losing a home....uh, yeah, speaks to me.

You should do it! They totally coach you on how to present. I haven't been to the Stoop in years. I need to go back sometime.

I am increasing skeptical of this doctor, for the record.

I don't understand why she didn't offer an alternative when you said you don't drink coffee. That's nuts!

I can only drink one big cup in the morning, usually. After that I'm risking my ability to sleep that night. I used to drink tea every afternoon after work but I cut that out too. And I don't drink soda.

This is usually what I drink, but I probably have 10 or 12 cups a day when at the theatre, because I have to stay awake for so long. This seems to lead to problems.

Um, yeah! Of course it would!

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

For whatever reason tea's diuretic properties hit me a lot harder than coffee, or the water that I drink through the day. I made the mistake of drinking one of those 26 oz. razzleberry teas on the road to Pickwick this summer and less than two hours later I was running for the first convenience store restroom I could find and peeing like a racehorse.

Art Crawl!!!

I have a cold - therefore I did not sleep well - therefore - 10 to 12 cups of coffee might be a necessity . . . although would then prevent me from sleeping well tonight. This is a spiral of badness.
