Well, I'm knocking back a cup of Blue Mountain this morning. But it's definitely not an every day thing. I'd definitely rather be filling my stomach with juice at this point.
I just can't divorce myself from the feeling that dosing myself with caffeine in the morning is because something didn't go right in the night (oh, say, like last night). She says to go to bed when I get tired. Which is more than 4 hours after the pills, and it's not like I'm
sleepy.
So it took me at least 2 more hours after that to fall asleep. And I woke up bunches, and stayed up bunches.
Yeah, coffee is probably recommended, but I'd rather an Ambien-faulty night of sleep and a sometimes cup of green tea, thanks.
Well, it would take two or three cups of strong tea to make up one cup of coffee, so that's even more "healthy" liquid I'm not drinking.
I can't even imagine my morning without a couple mugs of strong black tea. Or, say, a whole pot.
Recommending a cup of coffee has to be one of the strangest things I've heard a doctor "prescribe".
Not to mention I thought I was contributing to good sleep hygiene by limiting myself to no more than one cup of tea (usually green) and always before lunch on a school night.
Okay, mi mawnin bawl o cawfee dun.
I am increasing skeptical of this doctor, for the record.
See, I drink tea all day and all evening. Every day. Sometimes I wonder if the caffeine even affects me anymore, or if it's just psychological.
But I don't like coffee, and I got sick of soda, and like Plei, I really don't like water, so ... tea it is.
I've already had a pot of black tea this morning, and I'm brewing some green tea right now. But never after 3:00pm.
Does green tea have caffeine in it?
Not as much as black tea, but yes.
Green has very little caffeine in it. I don't love green, though. I like the peatiness of strong black tea. Like, assam.
