Move over tattoos: implantable LEDs light up your skin
Tattoos have been around for ages. They're fine, but where's the innovation? It's been a while since we've seen some big steps forward in the world of body decorations. But hell, flexible, implantable LEDs? Yeah, that's something new.
The LED arrays were developed by John Rogers from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and they can twist and stretch by as much as 75%. Coated in thin silicon rubber, they're also waterproof and safe to implant under the skin. That means that you could, in theory, spell out your name in flashing lights under the skin of your back. I'd like to see a traditional tattoo do that.
Just don't ask her to spell it.
I AM THE BEST!

Yeah, try to evade the police with one of THOSE.
Plei or Jilli, I couldn't find Poshe top coat at Sally's today so I bought Seche Vite--what are the major differences between the two?
Can I just say, I think I'm going to explode from the effort of not getting spoiled for Mad Men before I can see it? Which may be tonight, but may NOT be??
Also, I wonder what I did to change the fonts on here, but I kind of like it, so.
Hey all! I've had this horrible cold/flu thing for days which made it hard to even look at a computer screen (which has been thrilling, let me tell you) but I have had lots of quality time with my couch and my house's extensive DVD collection.
I watched most of S1 of Buffy this weekend, which I hadn't seen in years, and... wow. I had forgotten how... silly? The first season is. I also just about bust a gut laughing when Cordelia pulled an antenna out of a cell phone. I also apparently had forgotten how OLD the first season is.

Seche was my go-to top coat for a long time, before I converted to Nubar's Diamont. Seche is THICK, but dries super-quick. You may get some shrinkage of polish from the nail tips, and extended use of Seche made my nails peel like crazy.
I can relate, Jesse. Someone spoiled me for something big last night. And I won't be able to see it 'til this season goes to DVD.
I was going to go to Descanso Gardens today to try to cheer myself up but now I'm hemming and hawing because they're having a plant sale this weekend and I feel like I should make that admission fee count by going then. It's just that past experience teaches me that if I delay, something will come up that will prevent me from going on the other day. Heh.
I like that Yeats.
