But if the world doesn't end, I'm gonna need a note.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I am full of gronk and yawns.

Me too. I have to go get my blood drawn before work, which means I need to leave the house a little after 7:00. I'd try that payback thing, but I'm already doing it.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I woke up early, but moving slowly enough that I didn't leave the house early at all. So far, so good, except for a scratchy throat that I refuse to believe means anything.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

I woke up early to vote before work, and based on the injustice -- INJUSTICE, I SAY -- of making me get up early, I expect all of my candidates to win. It's the least they could do.

hip deep in pie

I stayed up way too late making chilli. And now I am suffering this morning.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Chumley has a vet appointment for 11, but since he saw one a week ago when he had a bit of conjunctivitis and got shots and a checkup then, I'm going to take Muppet for a checkup instead.

She's MUCH easier to get into a carrier than Chumley, who has many more claws to cling to the opening on all four sides. (He is, in many significant ways, a cartoon cat.)

Coding and Sleeping

I think I have rarely been this unmotivated to vote in a major election, but I managed to get it done.

I have voted. I'm done being an adult today. I go home now?

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

I have decided that 'riot' is only acceptable if preceded by any of: 'quiet', 'laugh' or 'Britney Spears sex-'.

You forgot the all-important "zoot suit."

Ooh, interesting -- a job I interviewed for a year ago is re-posted, now via a search firm. Huh.

brillig

When the Pirates won a squeaker of a series when I was in college, I remember crowds of students running through the parking lots.
