I spent a few hours today researching so I could figure out my ballot. I didn't understand why we're being asked to vote for U.S. Senator twice, and now I do, even if I think it's kind of stupid.

Ditto here. I will admit that I still don't understand how two of the ballot initiatives I'll be voting on are supposed to work, but I have a moderate amount of faith in the benevolence of the officials recommending them.
