"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

I miss black jeans. I miss black anything. I just found a hole in the seam of my black cargo pants, so I guess I am back on the hunt for black cargo pants.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

Our taxes are done, but not filed until payday. Jointly; thanks, guys.

UGH. That sucked up any gardening time -- 4 hours! -- and now I have to do lesson plans.

But I did play around late last night, as a reward for working on lessons, and I have a plan for the garden this year! A cheap plan, with lots of daisies, phlox and impatiens, but a plan.

Donwanna work on lessons.

Gonna anyway.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Internet has been out for an hour. Oh Noes!

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Rock-Paper-Scissors: You vs. the Computer.

Computers mimic human reasoning by building on simple rules and statistical averages. Test your strategy against the computer in this rock-paper-scissors game illustrating basic artificial intelligence. Choose from two different modes: novice, where the computer learns to play from scratch, and veteran, where the computer pits over 200,000 rounds of previous experience against you.

It's pretty fun! You may discover some patterns in your RPS strategy you didn't even know you were doing.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

You may discover some patterns in your RPS strategy you didn't even know you were doing.

I'm gonna go play as Dean.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

I was doing great against the computer until round 15 and then bam, the computer came back. Fucker.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

There's no way to play RPS-Lizard-Spock

That's not right.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

I played until I got it to 10-10-10 and decided I'd better quit while I wasn't behind.

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

Why is it that, after spending the day inside dressed and waiting for the rain to stop so I could go out and do errands/grocery shop, it was only after I got changed into my lounge-around-the-apartment clothes that the rain finally stopped? And now the sun's out, too!

Oh, well, it's too late to go to Michael's and Borics, anyway. Tomorrow night, I guess!

My meals for the day are all the same thing. After my shorter-than-usual swim this morning, my friend, her husband, and I all went out for breakfast. I ended up eating most of the banana and only about six bites of the omelet, so lunch was half of the omelet and the rest of the banana, and dinner will be the rest of the omelet.

My friend gave me my haul from her Pampered Chef party last month, so I spent some time this afternoon washing them and then reorganizing my cabinets to make some room. Mom expressed an interest in my 1-cup prep bowls, so I'm bringing half of them out to her place in April, and she's going to give me half of her Martha Stewart 1/2-cup prep bowls, so we'll each have a mixture of sizes.

I'm going to place an order for some underwear and a new swimsuit later on. I'm currently wearing a tighter fitting size 26 suit, and am thinking about buying a 22 for my next size down since I'll be wearing this one for a little while. (This is the suit that was "OMG, I can't breathe!!!" last month, BTW!)

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Finally got a chance to redo my nails. They had been naked for weeks! Now they are such a lovely red, and my toes are a red so dark it's almost black, thanks to some lovely polish box donor.
