Shrift makes me feel like a slacker, even though I have not gone back to bed either. I've been trying to do as much neatening as I can before I get tired and go slounge for a bit again, but so far that's only about 20 minutes at a time.
And then I discovered there was a new Fringe last night, which so far is really fun--
buttoned down Lincoln, Olivia as Bell, flirting with Astrid!
I did some errands -- dropped some stuff off at Goodwill and only bought two books, used a groupon for roses, went to the bank -- and I have to recommend walking around with roses. People like it!
I, um. Well, I unpacked. And groomed the dog. And I just went to the grocery store for milk and vegetables. In a couple hours I will toddle out to see my folks and make them dinner. They're getting cassoulet; they better like it.
I'm still sick, though it's much better than it was. But I don't feel like exercising, any it's raining anyway.
Note that I am not sick, just fairly lazy.
Man, half of a bambino watermelon is still a lot of fucking watermelon.
The only productive thing I've done today is go see my grandmother in the nursing home, and that was really hard. The change in her since Christmas is so marked, it's scary. And really sad.
I haven't done anything but cook myself breakfast. You may all feel productive next to my enormous laze.
My neighbors' rock band has been practicing for several hours now. I always thought there was a generally understood rule that drums go in the basement where they won't bother the neighbors as much. I can hear every note that every instrument is playing, with just enough distortion from going through the walls to make it crazy-making to listen to.
I missed the most Ginormous moon evah!
But I did finally buy some shoes that I can wear (comfortably) with my brace: the right shoe (brace) is 1.5 sizes bigger than the left shoe (no brace) and it's a 4E. (I have extra wide feet anyway but 4E is wider.)
We saw the moon! I accidentally let it slip that Prof Lupin would not have liked it. Franny asked why. I had to demure, oops.
We had brunch at Luna Park and the restaurant was nearly empty, so the kids were free to goof around a bit after we ate. Much fun.
