I was watching Check, Please! on the local PBS station (it's our local restaurant review tv show in Chicago), and thinking that I'd love to submit my application to get on the show and recommend my favorite Uzbek restaurant after I lose my weight. But, then I realized what a CP rec does to the business at restaurants in town and began to think that would be a bad idea.

Update on yesterday's email from the librarian who stole my job: I sent her the advertisement for my job that was posted when I applied in 2006, and the published salary scale for librarians which basically gives her a 40K possible spread for my actual salary, and mentioned that I never expected she would part ways with the old Big Boss.
She wrote back a long email that I didn't really bother to read because it started with a suggestion that we get together sometime for lunch.
