Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

I thought it was that I can't describe

It might be, but I could have sworn there was an "I just can't abide" in there somewhere. To the Googlemobile!

eta, nope, no abide line at all. Huh.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Simon and Nick did Top Gear and were hilarious.

"He sprayed me with his nerd musk and I was in love"!

borrow = BAH-row. How did Nathan say it?

Amy - Mar 18, 2011 7:52:53 am PDT #29000 of 30001
Because books.

I don't think I've ever heard anyone pronounce borrow as "burrow".

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

Ewan McGregor! In a hat! On a bike! WITH A PUPPY!

That should go on Good Things!

How did Nathan say it?

Bore-ow My grandmother used to pronounce it barrah.

BAR-O.

Canadians say more like Daisy said--BOAR-O.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Wow, it's difficult to remember that Liza Minelli was pretty cure in the early seventies.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

it was a printed E that was all curved like a cursive E

Aha. I don't think my handwriting says a thing about my upbringing, except that I was raised where cursive was mandatory and graded. But that might just mean I was old. At least one of my handwritings has curvy Es, but kinda like Σ, never with the full closed loop.
